I think that Dad was probably saying to so down rather than hurry.
Construtively: subjects are blurry, I think I would have cropped it so there wasn't so much ground in front of the subjects since the background was sharply in focus

I don't like looking at people from behind. A person's story is in his or her eyes. You could have snapped a "candid" shot from in front of these people...candid is not necessarily "secret" or "without being seen".
Could have used a little bit more depth in the photo too, maybe another angle where the street plays more of a role...
Photo a bit soft too, maybe wrong shutter speed?

everything is blurry. This sucks. Overexposed too.
