I like the idea on this shot, but for me the problem is the focal point.
With such a tight focus, I would like to see the focus on the base of the glass, or perhaps the opening. Really the base though, as that's where the brightest lighting is. (my two cents) |

Beautiful, but would prefer slightly greater dof |

the glass seems dirty yellow, the decorations are borring and the picture is not sharp... sorry |

IMHO the out of focus looks more off than just shallow dof. maybe the light wasn't strong enough to get a wow factor from the glass's decorations. |

the color and glow of the light is quite attractive but the image has too shallow of DOF to really come off well |

This is a little too close for my taste.. I think I could have appreciated the lighting if it was panned out a tad.. imho |

The angle of this feels like the glass is going to fall right off the page. Which is good and bad. Not so great for a technically sound image but kind of cool to give a surreal feeling. Not really an engaging subject and the use of light wasn't played up as much as it could have been. At first I thought the image was out of focus but noticed the focus was actually good in the middle of the glass, probably would have prefered more of it in focus, though a shallow dof is good as I like how out of focus the back of the glass is. |
