 Ahhh, my first submission that I actually used a tripod. Hopefully this will help my scores. Thank you Scott for digging it out from the storage bin and lending it to me.

So...my question is why has the Mahwah Police Department not gotten around to taking down the No Skating Sign at Silver Creek Pond? It's June...and you can pass Dunkin Donuts on the way to the pond from the police station!

Cute idea; looks like extreme noise reduction (via NeatImage or equivalent) was used and I find that disorienting. I expect focus to be the same for everything based on horizontal distance from the camera, so maybe areas around the sign would all be in focus while those in front of and behind it would not be. The blurring occurs rather randomly so it's not at all clear to me where the focus really was.

Looks to me like it was taken through a car window. Certainly have to ask why, but I think the photo could be better set up.

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......

Very peaceful colors here, but I wonder what this photo is all about. No skating because of the water? No skating because it is a busy sidewalk?
