 This was taken during the same shoot as my water shot. I took it at my deer lease outside of Flynn, Texas. I adjusted levels, focus, cropped and applied a noise filter to clean up after the adjustments. It was underexposed using the full manual mode. After most of the month I still like it as my best December shot.

I love these types of shots. Great subtleties in the sky colors and background. Love the silhouette! Only wish you'd have gotten all the tree in shot...

A bit too dark, would have been more effective if the sun had risen and the colors will brighten this otherwise nice but dark photo.

I like the deep background on there. awesome smoldering colors. but- the placement of the tree in the shot- or the crop on the right could be a bit better. perhaps if the shot was a little less square and more rectangular.

This is a tad too dark. Too bad you couldn't have waited a bit to get more light. I would have shot this form farther away and kept the tree to the right, but would have included all the branches that were cropped out. You may have been dealing with obstacles to the shot that didn't permit a wider shot.

Very moody and well captured. I love the several seperate lines of mist on the ground leading you further into the image.
