Critique Club

As I said before I didn't find this to be tacky, and now as I look at it again that really is the one big flaw in the phot just not meeting the challenge.

The photo itself is well done, good focus, interesting color and nice lighting.

Actually I think it's not really tacky... And to present it in a very esthetic way makes it even less tacky... In fact I think you submitted a picture (and a good one, I like the contrast) with a lot of taste!!

pretty nice shot but a simple pine cone is hardly tacky

I don't think this would be tacky, as I said before, I don't think nature's work would be tacky at all. I like the photo and it being B&W, The thing that distracts me is the shadow and the tip of the cone could be more in focus.

Seems to be alot of post processing was done to this image. Perhaps a little too noticeable.

Sorry I don't find the pinecone to be tacky as a matter of fact they are part of the real Christmas Tree. Technically this is beautiful, just doesn't fit my book as tacky but worth a 5 for the overall merit.

more DOF! the tip is blurry.. maybe smaller aparature makes it less blurry
