Yes it's an Eider.
I've been doing an experiment by submitting bird images to challenges. Well I know this image is a pretty good bird image yet it scores badly. I have another bird image now and it's scoring even worse. Lesson learned: Only submit birds to wildlife challenges. Guess I will for the next few weeks go back to formulaic DPC images (landscape or simple studio). |

I love the leading line in the shimmer of the water leading right to the duck. BTW, I don't think ducks sing, do they? |

Hmm. Just does not make me say why? Or see why! Nice photo.
