I really liked the original but I absolutely love the redo. |

Looks blurry rather than soft-focus. Soft-focus still needs to communicate that the photographer knows how to focus. Could do with a slightly tighter crop to remove whatever is behind the baby's head and the other person's shoulder for more impact. Baby's face is slightly overexposed. I'd prefer a little more photo above the person's eyes. Was it deliberate to chop the ear? |

like the b/w, it's just a little too soft ... |

Great shot of the baby, I would have had mom's eyes open and looking at the baby though. |

the angles, softness, and contrast to black background make this a vitalizing and capturing image. nice work. |

like the connection between the two - soft focus really works - one of my ribbon picks |

Nice Photo Good black and white.
Maybe a bit too much glow on the skin and the focus looks a bit off.
Pretty Mommy and her baby. |

nice ambient glow, maybe a bit sharper and it would be a 10. |

Nice idea but too soft... it feels plasticy |

Were it not for the focus issue, this would be in my faves. Please don't tell me you softened it in post proc - the result only hurts an otherwise beautiful image. If you like it however, that's all that really matters. ...except in regards to the challenge placement of course. :) For the record, I am giving it a 7 - it deserves that. |

The distinct border of the 2 faces against the black background remind me of those hourglass photos. Great symmetry going on there. Nice soft tones and smooth skin. The focus is slightly off - having the ears out of focus works well here but the eyes and lips need some more. |
