 This shot was taken at my children's school. I was asked to take photo's during the end of year Band Blast, where they had games, face painting, dunk tanks, etc. After about 3 hours I saw this little girl, who was obviously ready to go home. I thought I'd make the photo look more like a early color film photo.

Post Challenge: To all those who thought it was posed....it wasn't. I don't think I'd have someone standing right next to the person (jeans in picture) if I were going to pose them.

Three things that may help this to not score well. First it looks like a posed shot. Second it's soft focus (I like them but the voters like super sharp). Third your impressively large border...

Beuatiful and wistful, kind of reminds me of Bubbles on the old pears soap adverts, love the soft focus

Looks a little too much like a portrait for me. I would like to see a little more of the surroundings. She has great eyes.

not much of a candid shot to me. Needs to be a bit sharper. Back to bump b/c I'm going back over my pictures that I've commented on.

Nice job here. I like the soft focus the more I look at it. Maybe the face could have a bit more light? Nice job either way. Hope you do well 8

This is a very good candid portrait. My oly nitpick is that her eyes look a little veiled, but this could easily be fixed with levels or curves. Conversely, exposure on hairs and jumper is very good.
