Taken by the Swan River in Perth, Australia. This lady walked by and took a seat to rest by the river. She sat there for some time and listened to some music in the relaxing atmosphere.

Processing:
Levels, Curves, Convert to B/W, Dodge, Burn, more levels, curve, Neatimage, Resize.

Conditions:
Bright sunny day, just after Noon. Sun was behind both me and the subject. River to the front of the subject provided some reflective light but not all that much. Bright blue skies, no wind and people passing down both sides. Used CP filter for the shot to try and damped the highlights that I expected to encounter from the extremely bright sun against here pale skin and silky hair. Reason for B/W conversion was due to the subdued colours in the original shot. Lady was wearing a black jacket with blue river in her background.

Thanks for looking

Hi Mark,
Nice relaxing image here. Very much agree withthe placement of your subject couldn't have been better. The tonality is great and the exposure is dead on. The image is sharp, crisp and the details splended. The two things here that caught my eye 1) The pole, not sure if it was to close or it's angle in relation to her but it kept catching my eye. 2) This is more of a title thing then anything else, " riverside relaxation" don't get me wrong your dof works very well here but we can't see nor get the feeling she is at the riverside.

good composition. I find myself wanting to know what she is looking at (context of the shot) or wanting to see more of her face, though.

I feel like the fuzzy pole isn't quite enough to balance the composition, but she looks great.
