Great (candid) portrait, Brad. And what a fantastic processing from a seemingly ordinary original (kudos for posting it!). sometimes I have the feeling that a great image can be discovered in almost any photograph, it's just I often don't have enough talent and vision to find it! Good lesson here. |

you know shooting something this perfect from your hip only means that we might have to put up with
posthumous shooting cracks in the sidewalk, saying 'well look at Brad, it clearly works'.
This really is wonderful, nice processing too... |

A lovely portrait of a man (and yes, I consider it a candid). I'm even more impressed after seeing the original - you really do a great job mastering a photograph from a picture. The more important aspect of all of this is the printing and giving of the picture to the gentleman. To me, that's what it's all about in the first place. Ain't nothing to this picture taking thing if people don't enjoy the end result, you know? Nice work here. |

I love it! I love the way the reflections in the glasses give it such a "real" look -- but they don't hide the eyes or the expression. What a great candid portrait!

Compositionally, I really like this. It is balanced and doesn't feel too "tight." Also, it is technically well done with good details visible. I think the bw works well to set the mood. I think it would feel more "candid" and less "portraity" if there was something, anything, to give the context of what he was thinking or doing. |

This doesn't feel like a candid. In other words, I don't feel like I'm peeking in on some slice of reality. In spite of your title, it feels more like a portrait. But it's an interesting composition with nice textures, and I can certainly imagine that it is in fact candid, so 7. |

Nice study, you cant help wondering whether the subject was totally unaware of your presence but even if he wasnt the image is strong. Good B&W conversion with some nice rich tones |

Don't know why, but the background bothers me a bit here. Prolly just me being odd.
A super sharp capture of your subject and well composed with a lot of impact. Great stuff. |

Good detail and reflection in the glasses. The background makes his whiskers stand out. Good texture to his face. |

Terrific focus. Love the reflective light in his glasses. Since he's so close to the textured background, it looks a bit funky to me, but his expression and your detailed capture more than make up for it. |
