Still a great picture, and I am sure you didn't get that bug to pose..
and it's not even looking at the camera~ |

Bugs just don't know the difference between when they're being photographed and when they're not. It's a nice shot, but it's just not candid, to me. |

Really not what I'd call a candid. |

Wonderful flowers - very interesting shape and design. Not quite what I would normally consider a candid, though. |

Exposure seems too bright for petals. |

OK, I think I get what you are protraying with this image and I think its good DPCers think outside the obvious in terms of subject for challenges. However whilst it is a very nice image (very good focus on the flower head) it does not necessarily have a wow factor, especially in terms of this specific challenge (which given that you are going outside the norm would probably be a pre-requiste for some voters) |

Great macro, but not a candid in the broadest sence of the word, I only say that as you may/will find that people will vote your great shot down as it doesnt realy fit the challenge. That being said, fantastic detail in the flower |

i think in order to be a candid it needs a person... |

Nice capture - But the contrast is a bit extreme. |

Oh! another person using an "animal" for their candid! are you sick of the "DNMCs" yet? me too! :) a closer crop on the butterfly may have given this some extra pop! |
