Yes, this is my little girl, and she has always been interested in rocks. I’m thinking she might become a future geologist.
Processing. Harsh sunlight.
Knocking down highlights, bumping up shadows . Dodge and burn, smoothing filter, sharpen & smoothing brush, contrast, convert to B&W , resize, sharpen, and save for the web

Harsh sunlight isn't always a good thing to shoot in, but I like the way it worked out here with the sparklies. And I highly encourage your daughter to go into geology - downright fascinating stuff! (Can Ollie See Down My Pants Pocket? Tom Jones Can. Tom's Queer. A mnemonic to remember the geologic ages, starting with Cambrian, Ordivician... through Triasic, Jurrasic, Cretacious; Tertiary, Quaternary - spelling optional on most of those.)

Actually, this is kind of an interesting image with such low contrast. I like the texture of the water.

I do not like how the shadows fall on the girls face..

to much despeckle or sharpening for my taste.

Good try but the processing has been pushed way too far. The whites in the water have been dragged down in the Levels and the girl, whilst sharp, has been left with sharpening halos.

Nice and sharp but far too grey to the point where it is too distracting from the main image. Almost looks like a negative.

processing strikes me as a bit strange...or is it the exposure in the bright sunlight?

Really like the soft contrast and tones on this image. Super dof
