On a trip with the local camera club over the weekend, and got some great landscapes, which is well outside my normal 'stuff', but very enjoyable...
This is a view of the Rakaia river, looking west towards the Arrowsmith range on the left, Ragged range on the right, and the Jollie range in the background.
The tallest peak on the left is Mount Arrowsmith at 2781m ASL.
Not sure if this will do well, but I'm in the mood to enter some challenges again, so here we go... :-).
Editing: Rotate, crop, saturation boost, USM, scale, USM save.. |

| Now that's what I'm talking about!!! This is the New Zealand that I want to see. Beautiful, rugged, natural scenery. Nice capture of it. |

Tar muchly folks, for an occasional dpc'er I'm really happy with this result..
And it was just a one day trip zoom, so I didn't get any sunrise/sunset photos, but it's only 1hr from here, and I'm planning on going back later in the winter when there is a bit more snow about... |

| Beauty! Interesting crop you've used here. Were you able to shoot this at any different time during the week? I think this shot would have a lot more punch at sunrise/sunset with a slow exposure of the water and the reflection of a vibrant sunrise/sunset. Still, very cool. |
