Challenge: Transitions II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro for Canon
Location: san francisco
Date: Jun 11, 2007
Aperture: f16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 4 seconds
Galleries: Family, Emotive
Date Uploaded: Jun 11, 2007

Converted from RAW. Levels, slight color adjustments, orange filter to bring out gold color, cleaned up a dust bunny or two, sharpen USM.

Shot in a little light tent, floor lined with black, and then a piece of glass and then the rings. Lighting was a portable reflector lamp with a 100 watt bulb.

The rings were ours of course and we wore them for many years. My guy's was cut to get it off during one of his last illnesses.

Nice close-up. That's one big wedding band! I like the use of reflections too.

Good composition and good capture of the gold tones with the brown tones in reflection.

I like the idea of this but the background does not do the gold justice

This is a nice interpretation of the topic. Perhaps a different surface for the rings to sit on? As it is it plays with the eyes a bit.
