A bulk carrier ran aground in Newcastle, Australia with storm winds and heavy seas on Friday. This image was taken on Monday morning, after the storms had died down.

shame it was on the dark side of the ship. the waves would have been more visible striking the ship.

I think many people in this challenge are entering an image with any theme whatsoever and adding the word 'pure' to the front. Pure should convey completeness, being undiluted, innocence, etc.

I don't think trouble when I see this image, and there's certainly nothing pure about the trouble.

As for the image itself, that's a striking scene.

Nice. Maybe next time you could show a little more of the beach to get a better sense of where the ship is. A person walking on the sand would be awesome! Also, you may want to shoot the side of the ship that the sun is shining on, so you get better detail and exposure. (or just wait until the sun comes over to this side of the ship)
