A different crop would have been better for me. If the transition is land to water the blow out of lights in the hotel or building area is annoying and not needed to meet the challenge.

Cool and almost dreamlike. I like the mostly gray tones and then the "golden city" to the left.

Nice idea. Good job putting a person in the picture, it really adds some interesting to what would have been a semi-empty photograph.

This has a lovely ethereal feel to it. Perhaps a little less of the lit areas in the background would concentrate the focus on the transition layers and the thoughtfullness of the human subject (portrait layout rather than landscape?)?

There is something about this image that I really like. The only thing I might have cropped out are the buildings in the distance. 8 but very well done.

surreal. the sand looks great. the background is strange! low clouds? the buildings are overexposed and the subject looks crisp. how long was the shutter open for?
