I recently had to put my feline friend , Max , to "sleep". Your image reminds me of him...
If it should be that I grow weak
and pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
for this last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad, I understand,
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day more than all the rest,
your love for me must stay the test.
We've had so many happy years,
what is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so.
The time has come, please let me go.

Kelly~ I thought this was a great entry in the challenge; sorely underrated! It is a stunner of a cat photo (from a gal who loves the animals!). The tones and the lighting, the cat's expression and that eye-it's all good! |

I don't usually like cat shots cause if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. But this is very different. I think you did a great job. |

Not only did you get a 10 from Don, you got a "pick" from undieyatch in the "Posthumous Ribbons of the Week" thread. Those both be good signs! And I happen to really like it, too. |

This is really lovely. Unfortunately, most people here don't spend enough time looking at a photo to appreciate it. |

It's not your best shot, but I don't think it was necessarily dnmc. At the same time, you've been around long enough to know that riding the line gets you smacked down. Anyway, 364th place? Undeserved. Pardon my french but there are 20 other shots in the challenge that are complete pieces of shit and should have placed below this. But whatever, you know how it goes. |

When the cat fills the frame there's no neg space here. this is the first shot I'm actually using that nasty term... dnmc. sorry but I really can't see how there's neg space in this shot. PM me If I'm just a dunce and and don't see what you were going for. On technicals the image could be more in focus and the highlights are a little too blown out. She looks sweet though. 3 |

Needs a bit more negative space. Good detail. Not exactly high key and thus the coloring is a bit off. :) Sweet kitty face. |
