This was taken in the butterfly exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA. The fly was on the edge of a leaf that I saw while looking around for butterflies hanging underneath leaves. This is my first real attempt to use a macro lens. It was taken on a cloudy day with a slight breeze sometimes blowing through the butterfly exhibit tenting. A tripod was used.

Eeeee. . .even for someone who isn't wild about bug photos, I have to admit, this is awesome! What an excellent macro! It shows such incredible detail, and motion at the same time.

I like this. Very simple, colours are nice and soft, yet still attention grabbing. I really like this.

IMO needs a little color editing, brighten the reds to make eyes pop out, have more green

good sharpness and excellent DOF. It's a little low contrast and bland in terms of colours though, maybe a slight levels adjustment would improve that? A good entry though
