 It was miserable conditions for a ski race - 35 degrees and slushy, dirty snow. I finished my event and hurried to take a few shots.

Good shot in crisp focus, but it could have done with a bit of background motion blur or snow flying in the air to give a better impression of speed.

Really seems boring to me. To much stop in the action. Needed some more movement, cause as it is it appears the guys going 2 mph. 7.

Nice freeze (no pun intended) of the motion. Panning with the skier to blur the trees a little would have emphasezed the sense of "flying."

No distracting elements in the background, nice composition, nice angle, good determined expression on skier. But somehow lacks punch for me. Sorry!

Nice clear shot, wished though that I could see some motion. He looks as if he could be standing there. Maybe experiment with following your subject with the camera when taking the shot. The background will appear blurred, but your subject will be still. (Does take practice though) 8

Maybe too fast a shutter speed. Looks like posing standing still. No real indication of motion. Oh, now I see the left ski raised and both arched up. Now I get it.

Clear focal point and nice composition. I need to see some movement - looks like he's just standing on the snow. Perhaps if the ground looked more like a hill?
