 A daylily bud cluster in my very own yard. I really loved how the patterns and colors swirled in the background and thought they set off the buds well. Hoping the swirls are unobtrusive enough to be considered negative space; if not, I still love the way this came out!

PP - converted from RAW, rotated 90 degrees, cropped, shifted hue slightly toward blue, increased saturation, reduced noise, USM, added border, resized, sharpened.

Bump up the contrast more and the green, too and this will defenitely have more potentials. 6
