 The wall is actually a piece of white paper on the ground. The hook is blu tacked to the paper. It was difficult to make the shadows look right like this so I blocked the light off around the four sides and just allowed ambient light from above.

Convert from RAW correcting white balance and exposure. Curves in CS3, resize and USM

The technicals: Lots of 5.5s I'm commenting on. I can tell the technicals are generally well done for a 5.5 scores. Not much going against you here.

The feel: I think I like it. Composition is nice with the negative space and it's an interesting idea.

The game: One problem for DPC is it's subtle. That doesn't always grab the voter who typically takes 3-5 seconds to vote. It doesn't make it a bad pic, but does hurt the pic's chances for a high vote.

Great concept that meets the challenge perfectly. One of those stop you in your tracks shot in terms of the idea. Hope the value of this thinking is recognised by the voters
