I thought the challenge was about negative space where the back ground is the important part of the photo so I wanted the maximum size back ground so I didn't crop at all... more fool me

Recomposing this shot a little more to the right to get more of that splashing wave would've made this image better but, I know sometimes you can't always set it up the way you want.

The colors in this image is what really catches my eye, not the negative space. But I'm ok with that. Great picture.

I'm sort of on the fence on whether I would like to see more detail or more silhouette. But since I love this photo...I guess that says it's perfect just the way it is. Great photo!

I think it would be a little more powerful if the surfer was not placed dead center in the shot. Maybe in the lower right third.

Great image though an off centre composition would have made it musch stronger, mainly a crop from right

Oh the tones are delicious. This is excellent. Makes me want to say "there goes an alien surfer." Love it. The centering really works.
