I really like this image. I only gave it a 1 for the challenge because I feel that the negative space, although it is nice and complementary on the left, is completely barren on the right, and therefore does not "wow" me. The title leaves me thinking where the rest of the life of the raindrop is in the negative space. Other than that, I love everything about this image. I think the crisp detail is stunning, and the very limited DOF really makes the water and drop stand out also. The lighting is perfect, illuminating just this branch while the others appear to be not only out of focus, but also in the shadows. Nice work. |

for me, the color tones and depth of field really make this work. I'm not sure of the composition - the lightness helps balance the busy-ness of the left-hand side but it still seems a little off. Focus is dead on. 7 |
