Play with Levels and/or Contrast to create a completely black background. |

Cute pup and good placement in the frame. Love the warm brown tones of his fur. I'm sure other's have already suggested ironing out the wrinkles in the background too. |

I'm ready for my close-up Mr. Demille! This is a nice capture. Perhaps a bit more neg space than necessary for this little dog. Great expression on his face. Lighting is very good here! |

What a beautiful dog. I find the wrinkles in the BG distracting, though. |

To create interesting negative space, darken the dog a little so that it fades into the background a little more, then crop closer to the dog. Voila! Negative space! |

Beautiful colors and textures on the dog but the creases in the black cloth don't really add, the negative space in general doesn't help this, the dog makes this awesome instead of the negative space |

good portrait, the wrinkles and white spot on the backdrop is distracting, velvet works well. Good exposure, eyes of the pup seem a bit soft |

very cute dog rendered very well. You need to watch your black points. I have a very good LCD perfectly calibrated and I can see wrinkles and folds in your background. |
