 Truth be told I have no idea what this is.... it is a ball covered with what seem to be nut shells as about 6 people guessed. The other multiple guesses were wood and dog treats... sorry guys. Thanks for the comments.

Truly no clue. At first I thought it was the cut end of some logs but the more I look at it I can't tell because it looks like pieces are glued together so that can't be. Very cool shot though I like the illusion of a face in the center left whatever it is.
