 Taken on the balcony of my home. He is one of an array of wild birds I get visiting me every day. They usually come in groups or at least pairs, however this one seems to have a few injuries and is always there alone. Therefore I saw him as fitting for your "Solo" theme. The original shot was taken in colour. I have slightly adjusted levels and contrast and have converted to black and white as I felt it set the mood a little more.

Lighting from front would have made feathers stand out.
