wow 34th!! Top 5 easy! Awesome job with this. I gave you an 8. Maybe some voters didn't look hard enough? Dunno sometimes. Great job again. |

Thanks everyone! I think a lot of people thought I was messing with them and there wasn't a troll...Well I could have submitted this one:
Both my boys enjoyed getting buried actually and each one wanted a turn. The thumbnail above is Samuel and the challenge shot was Andrew.
Thanks again everyone for the great comments, it was so much fun to "watch" the reactions! So far it is my favorite submission because of all the fun comments. |

Jason
I thought this met the challenge soooo well, my only guess is that you hid waldo so subtly (yet so blindingly obviously when you 'knew' where to look) that people may have thought you were messing with them
No trolls coming to get you and deserved a far higher finish |

a great image indeed. well done. the tones and subtlety are spot on. it's a good photograph, as well as 'meeting the challenge'. should have scored much higher. |

Dang it, I had you down as one of my winners :-(
Ah well.... even 6.1 around here is a respectable score. Well done! |

I think you hid your troll too well... some people must have voted this one down since they couldn't find him. I expected this one to be in the top 5 at least, and was getting a little worried that it got a DQ when I couldn't find it in the top 10... or 20! You should be proud though.. this was a great shot, and perfectly fit with the challenge. :) |

You sir were robbed. I gave this one a 9 and honestly believe it should have ended up at the very least on the first page. I guess some folks had a hard time finding Waldo in your image. Very clever, well executed and still one of my favorites. |

Maybe he's under the bridge downtown? Dang, I can't see 'Waldo'. I thought 'Waldo' should be at least slightly obvious. Ohhhh! Cool, I finally found him! Good, now I feel justified in giving it the 10 I wanted to give. 10! (I hope people are giving these photos more then a passing glance!) |

Superb! Excellent! I love where you hid him; it gives the image a sort of bizarre atmosphere when you see the head sticking up from the sand. Nice tones and colors too. Good shot. |

OK
I get the feeling that either
1. Waldo is hiding by one of the trees (I think I see him but I am not quite sure)
2. Waldo is somehwere else and really obvious and I am being plain unobservant
3. There is no Waldo and I have just wasted 5 minutes looking for him
I like the soft tones here and the feeling that is just a fraction OOF (never usually a big scorer here but for me in this instance it works well). Also I love the fact that I seem to be able to see hundreds of things that could be Waldo but still feel a trick could be played on me
I really like this and hope there is a Waldo, I am scoring 8, but be warned, if ther is not Waldo then the Trolls are gonna get ya |

I like the coloring (or lack thereof) you have used here. I just about missed "waldo" but it is rather alarming now that he has jumped out at me. :) Having the bridge and the supports appear "soft" works once waldo is found, but until then, it gives the illusion that the shot is a touch soft, as well. |

I just love this. I think it's my favorite of the challenge (but it could be tied with another). It's strong as an image in and of itself, which draws me to it. Wonderful black and white tones, an overall appealing silvery-ness, and perfect choice of placement and subject for Waldo. Not that hard to find, but also fits perfectly in your shot. Great. 10. |
