My idea was to create an image that looked like the B-movie of the 50s and 60s.
I used 2 pics.
The train station of Mestre Venice

A simple dish to create the flying saucers.

Steps:
Convert from raw, levels saturation and curves.
Layer with the dish paste into the main pic to create the fleet of invaders.
Smudge tool for the laser rays and lens flare for the light effects.
Resize and USM.

I like the idea and the editing (cool lens flare). The colours are a little off though. Try experimenting with the colour balance to reduce the orange on the buildings (although it works well for the the sucked up beams)

Tongue in cheek here, nicely handled. Deserves to do well I think.

Very well done, I really enjoy the post processing on the buildings, it makes the shot!

Very good use of plates and color. The lasers look very realistic.

Needs Explosions, everything is better with explosions, but also need to get rid of those lighting effect rings, that really distract from the image I believe.

This really is well done. I think you will score high with the photo. But the point of using our sattelites was so that all of the saucers could attack at the same time!

Cool idea! There's something about the laser beams I don't like, but I love the saucers and location.
