My brother was visiting from New Mexico, and he had brought his brand spankin' new Rebel XTi with him, so we HAD to go out shooting. So, he, another brother and I decided to head to Kilgore Falls. Along the way, I pointed out a spot that I always wanted to photograph, but never had the chance (this spot). Then we discovered that we were parked at the base of the trail that led to a locally famous (and dangerous) rock formation called the 'King & Queen Seat' (you know, one of those local attractions you never visit). So we hiked up there, too. After 3+ hours, we had to head home. We never made it to the waterfall. The shots from the King & Queen Seat weren't that good. I was too chicken to go near the edge to photograph the magnificent vista. So this is the best of the lot from down by the river (Deer Creek).
Oh, and right before I took this series of shots, I dropped my lens cap in the river and watched it float away. That sucked.
