Not that original of a picture. I probably had better things this month, but I have never taken a picture of a Rainbow before. Oh well.

Those are not dust spots, but actual water spots...

Needs more post work. Personally, I would rate this a 5.3 myself.

Hey Jayson - I think this should have scored higher for sure. I don't think people appreciate how difficult it is to take photos of rainbows! My favorite part is the balance between the rainbow and clouds. The streams of light are lovely too. A very happy photo!

Jayson, I just can't believe this didn't score better! It is absolutely lovely. I guess people must have assumed you forgot to clone dust spots? I guess you could have done a little more in the clouds, but I frankly think it is quite striking as is.

Nice use of rule of thirds. You have the dust bunny syndrome. I hate those things.

Well, this is a lovely capture in any case. I like how the white light seems to be coming from underneath the arc. (Btw, even though those are water spots, in advanced edtiting, you can get rid of them, if you want :D)

Nice try but it feels a little noisy in terms of the grass. Also why didn't you clone out the dark spots... That would help. My eyes can't help but be attracted to look at those spots.

I think it is time to clean your camera. :-) The spots are very distracting.

clean or clone your lens schmutz - especially for a free study!

poor comp. Cropping on the right would move the tree out of dead center.

I really appreciate the difficulty (at least for me) that is involved with this. I love the light shining onto the tree and of course, the rainbow is very nice.

good composition, but could be much sharper. sensor dust should have been cloned out

There appears to be some spots on this shot (middle sky, right hand side) which under the rules could be removed as minor imperfections. Perhaps it was some rain drops on your lens. Pity becuase the image has some potential with a great capture of the rainbow.

Nice rainbow triangle. Looks like you may have sensor dust. You are allowed to clone that out under advanced editing.
