Went sailing on my friend's sailboat on Sunday. Was randomly taking pics, just happened to get this one which I thought would be nice in black and white. Wish I had a little wider lens to get more of the boat though.

Convert to black and white
Unsharp mask
Resized (save to web) - caused colors to be darker
Opened saved jpg and did Shadow/Highlight, adjusted and resaved.

great shot, this is definately interesting, I looked at it a few times while voting, trying to understand the title. I like the line running between them, the great pose of the "captain" and the fact the other person has his back turned and is ignoring him - fun story in the photo. Technically nice job too

Great picture of the guy on the left. I think it would be better without the guy on the right. Maybe if you cropped him out of there.

I think this may be more dramatic if the person on the right were not in the photo. He is such a dark element in this otherwise light picture, that he steals the attention of your eye.
