mountain laurel is so beautiful... one of the the many beautiful things in the appalachians. love the little speckles of green against the petals, and the kiss of pink on the tips! nicely done! thanks for sharing! |

lol - being in flat places makes you nervous. DO NOT come visit me - it's about as flat here as you can get. I love mountains - you are so lucky!

Oh, so pretty. Great story, too. I'm a small-town hill-dweller myself, although I'm only third-generation in one direction and maybe fifth or sixth in the other (actually, before that, "we" were much closer to your neck of the woods). I too have lived here my whole life and left only for brief vacations. So I know where you're coming from with that.
Thanks for sharing the photo, and yourself, with us. :) Nicely done on both counts. |
