Is the border supposed to take the place of a focal point for the shot? Just curious...

What's with the border?

More like the blinding light. This is a good idea, but if you had a filter on your camera to lessen the glare it would have been a very effective picture

The lens flare is very blown out which takes away from this shot, if you are going to attempt something like this, you would need to under expose it a lot more. Also the border is overly complicated.

Sorry, that's just too much light for me. The complicated border takes focus away from the shot.

What is beautiful to one person might be considered a flaw to another. I try to use flares as part of a composition, not as the composition itself. Personal preference.

A very bright guiding light. Maybe too bright?

The border is really destracting and (to be blunt), terrible. It's mis-aligned and looks like it was randomly created. It is hard to create ellaborate borders like this, that's why I don't even try it. :) Live and learn, no big deal.

glary, washed out, a little heavy on the border.

I think you went a little overboard with borders and effects here...

There's the sun! I think this is a near impossible shot to do well.

Nice idea, but the light is more blinding than guiding. Possibly moving back, or cutting the exposure (which would render the trees darker) would work better.

no, it's an UFO... I wish there was less glare.

Interesting border! Flaring sun does make this shot unique but it's a bit too hot and distracts from the other elements.
