 Possibly an oak tree Tom pulled from our garden this morning. He was headed for the trash with it, I said "oooh, wait, give it to me".. Funny thing is, he didn't even have to ask why. Would like to see a little more detail but it's the best I could get with my camera. Oh well, not my best but here it is.

That's some root system! There IS enough detail to see the 2 cotyledons (seed leaves) just to the right of the lowest part of the stem. Cool shot!

To me, the roots look kinda like a little gnome holding up a plant for a flag. :) (Yes, people do sometimes tell me I have a strange way of seeing thing!) Nice shot.

Besides the color gradient in the stem looking cool, the whole compost composition with the offset works.
No clue why, but it does.
