This evening, my husband was at a meeting and my kids got invited over to a friend's house to swim, so I found myself faced with something that is rare enough in the life of a homeschooling mom to be an event: time alone. I had a hard time deciding whether to walk or knit, and decided to do both in turns.

This photo is of my cat, Mary, who greeted me with an appropriate air of feline superiority when I came back from my walk.

This:

is my neighbor's goat, seen on my walk. (is it just me or do goats have really creepy eyes?)

And this:

is what I did when I got home. :)

I'm not usually a fan of selective desats but this one works quite well. Good job!

Absolutely excellent desat, which works very well with the soft tones of the B&W conversion. Terrific bokeh given the 5.3 fstop

I was wondering if you walked and knitted at the same time :P That would be pretty hard, I guess. Very cute cat (and goat). What are you knitting?

Lovely cat. I do love the regal air she is giving off with her pose and gaze. I also like the use of selective desat here.

This is a gorgeous cat picture! I have three, and they don't give me the honor of posing for me! The selective desaturation is perfect.
