I had a my first photo assignment for school today and I thought, "what a good excuse to go to the beach!" Even though I live 20 minutes away, me and my friends are just too lazy to get up and go. It also doesn't help that 99% of the time it is foggy, grey, and cold in Half Moon Bay. However I noticed it was amazingly clear all around the bay area today, so I got my freind to come along and sure enough when we passed over the mountain, you could see all the way to the pacific! Then we had some yummy lunch and even got to see some seals later on in the day! It was such a gorgeous day that we were just awestruck by it. I took a photo of the beach we went to, but I didn't have the heart to crop it square, so I used this obscure one instead.
So all in all it was a very good day today, it was if I had a mini-vacation all within the span of a few hours, which is great considering it's only monday :D
This isn't the shot I used for class, mostly b/c we aren't allowed to edit >.<
I like this one a lot though, especially since (to me) it appears as if the shadow of the glasses is more 3-dimensional than the actual glasses are and also the colors.
Here's my outtake:
