 Well, my wife has a spectacular garden, so I am sure this won't be the last flower you see. But, there was a down pour this morning and in the gloomy weather and the rain, these colors just jumped out at me. I stood under the protection of my veranda and took this. Living 150 miles from the equator, we have flowers all year around and the gardens are beautiful.

Hey, does anyone know the name of these flowers? Just curious.

By the way, I LOVE my Sigma 18-200 - it is so light, I shot this at 1/30 seconds. I hope to upgrade to the Sigma 18-200 OS, which besides image stabilization has improved optics.

Looks like a gloomy day doesn't it? Really nice flowers, I bet they shine on a clear day.

a vibrant slice of the garden! a tad soft on the focus, but a lovely capture all the same. that green in the leaves is so rich!
