 Bev drove us to Cape May, NJ and we had a marvelous dinner. Then we to the Cape May National Park...oh whatever is it call...something like that, where the light house is and the bird sanctuary. Shot some of the bird sanctuary and some other stuff and then the sunset started and I snapped away. Hadn't shot a good sunset in so long, I don't want to think about it. But the clouds on the drive down sort of gave a hint that this would be a good one. Thanks, Bev! (BTW, Bev LOVES lighthouses...so this is especially for her.)

Post: Layer adjustments for levels, brightness contrast and hue/saturation. Layer of Curves. Spot edited dust...the dark thing if you see it mid right is a bird so it had to stay....grr! NeatImage. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

Sure wish we had 720 all the time.

Absolutely beautiful. I love how the lines of the clouds lead right back to the lighthouse. Congrats on your top 10 finish!

Incredible sky. Usually a central subject is not as desirable, but it works great here. The clouds seem to wrap around it. Perfect angle and moment!

nice skies and silhouette, good how you managed to include the light in the lighthouse. bad it is too centered.

Putting the lighthouse either on the left 1/3 or right 1/3 would make it better, I feel. Having it right in the center makes it feel uncomfortable. I love the sky. Cropping from the left, with the little sticks in the lower left corner would be good also.

Lovely shot - great sky. IMO compostion would have been better if the lighthouse were more off centre.

I would wish that the lighthouse were so dead-center, but you caught that sky so beautifully against the silhouette of the foreground.... 8
