Mercy brought all of her kittens back into the yard last night and they were still here this morning, so I wanted to get more shots. Mercy is a stray cat who has had three litters in the year we've lived here and has identified me as a great big sucker who will take care of them :-) I finally caught Mercy and got her fixed last week, so no more kittens from her! Meanwhile, there are seven 3-month-old kittens that come and go from my yard, and I'm desperately trying to find homes for them. This is not easy; pets seem to be a very disposable commodity around here, especially cats. Anyhoo... I spent an hour this morning playing with these adorable kittens and taking images of course! This image shows one of the new Mercy kittens with a very noisy bug, and one of Mercy's previous kittens Skootles (who I have adopted and gotten fixed) looking in on the action. Ummm... anybody need a kitten???

Wow, what a sweet kitty. Good for you for having the stray spayed! Very nice photo with the momma cat looking on. Sincere best wishes in finding homes for all the kittens.

Great Shot! They are precious, but no thanks. I have a cat fixed and belled. We have several strays around here too. I have caught a few in the live trap. A local group called the Animals Trustess of Austin performs low cost "fixing" and they hype the fix and release method.

Well, I'm not taking the kitten with bug breath! Again - fantastic capture. I think you should keep them all and make them the stars of your photography - for EVER! Very cute. Good thing I'm not close to you - you could probably sucker me into taking 3 or 4 of them.

Thank you, we got two kittens last year. They're lovely, but our house is full of dead butterflies and that kind of stuff. Not so long ago they were proudly showing one of my goldfishes. A well, that's nature.
