Ha...Do you want to know how rock and roll my life is... Well today I went to feed Daisy's Guines Pigs and a bug landed on my finger and I thought....Ooooo I will take a picture of this

Woohooooo!!! Live fast die young!!!!!!

Have to say that tech wise this seems to have lost sooooo much detail in resizing, boooooo!

love this shot & especially love your comments .. my obsession has developed to such an extent that i cant even open my eye's in the morning without starting to take photographs in my head of everything i see ... framing, wondering how another process'd work than real life etc etc etc .. looks like your obsession is devloping quite nicely as well ..
& talking about living real fast .. i've taken photographs of the council workers fixing up the firetrail for today's 50 day .. so as you can see i am getting out and about heaps too !!!!! ..
jon ... your comment on my pb was so lovely .. 'absurdly content' .. wow .. imagine how you'll feel when you get a 6th .. absurdly wont even come close and neither will the content !!! ..:):)x

lol ok I will be the odd one and make a comment about your well manicured nail - I'm sorry but that is what caught my attention first. Second, how did you get the bug to stay still so long while you grabed your camera and took the pic? Really, that's an excellent macro for the way you had to take the photo. The color and focus on the bug is awesome!

John,

Spectacular shot. So was the camera nearby? And did the little guy just sit still while you got ready? He looks like he's holding a pose for you.

That's funny - take a picture with one hand while holding bug with other. Wait a minute... that's something I would do!

great macro -- I love that you can see the shapes of his feet. Very funny commentary, too. Live fast die young indeed. :)

What an amazing macro, Jon! I love the contrasting colors and the detail that remains is splendid! (although, had a bug landed on my finger, I would've started waving my arm frantically to get it off!)

Great that you had a camera when the bug landed. Yeh, it is tough on macros, especially when you are so close. Still, the story is neat. Sometimes if the image doesn't meet your standards, a good story will bring it up a notch or two. Remember that, and share more of your funny stories.

It may have lost some detail in resizing, but still a very fine macro IMO. I love the clarity and the bright red color. The shape of his antenna is outstanding. Good find. My photos are much more boring than yous is it any consolation.

Great Macro!! Still looks detailed to me, and the bokeh is fantastic!! Love the lush green background. Yeah, ya better watch that burning the candle at both ends stuff! Oh and you forgot the rest of the saying...Live fast die young and leave a good looking corpse!!

Still very good detail, Jon! And it's not a gross bug, either. I hate it when I open up an image and there's this insect monster staring at me. This is a cute bug. Clearly, you were thinking on your feet when you grabbed the camera and took this photo. That must come from your fast-paced life you mentioned. :o)
