 This little guy is affectionately known as "The Ugly Guy" in my family.

I found a set of these guys at a art store liquidation sale, and bought one. After I got him home I had serious second thoughts about leaving his buddy behind. I drove as fast as I could back to the sale, but alas, his friend was gone. I often wonder if they miss each other, or if this sour look was because they could not stand each other.

Either way, he is one of my favorite faces.

Wow, what a great "ugly guy." I like your story. Reminds me of how I once bought a really cool Picasso sketch (copy, of course) at a chuch rummage sale. There were two, and I only had enough money for one. I think it only cost $15, but I only had $20. Anywy, that was years ago, and I still sometimes wish I had made the effort and bought them both.

One of those images that because you have captured it so well it turns ugly into attractive. I can see why you and your family would love this so much

Now THIS photo caught my eye at the thumbnail!! This is perfectly exposed and has a wonderful DOF. I am loving the red in his face and hair. Glad you didn't chop it out in PS.

Aahhhhh!! In my younger days I lived with a lady that collected African masks and stuff, this is by far scarier than any she had.

Hey, and you gotta love the hair. The cloud makes it look like he's blowin' smoke. Kind of adds to the "gods are angry" look.
