You made something really past its prime into something nice to look at. The texture of the petals is a nice contrast with the soft background.

that is some powerful texture in that wilitng flower. lovely composition and very nicely done. Your focus & DOF play well together.

A thin slice of focus, well controlled it makes an excellent image. The drooping flower is made more by an interesting background of shapes and color. Nice.
