I had some questions as to how I set this up - actually it was very easy. I am all about simple and quick. I don't actually have a studio space and I hate having to drag all my lighting equipment out for a 5 minute shot - so it was pretty primitive!

I have a little shiny black table (probably only about 15 inches in diameter) that works wonderfully. I put some drops of water on the surface with an eyedropper and let the flower rest against it's stem and one side of the petals. It is lit from above with a little desk lamp and I also placed another small desk lamp pointing up towards the center of the flower (kind of from underneath). And I just started shooting. At times held the lower light at different distances to get a better reflection.

Post processing - the usual hue/sat, levels, NI, selective color, unsharp mask.... and I did throw in a little Lucis Art (sculpture) just to make it a tad bit more dramatic. It wasn't very strong - just enough to see a change.

I also took out a few specks of dust and imperfections with the heal tool.

I would like to see more setups like this - the shiny black table reflection adds a lot of depth.
Not real sure I like the drops though.

The water drops are cool but I think this would be great as is without the waterdrops too. They just seem out of place to me. I like the processing though.

I really do enjoy these reflective water drop shots. The black surface makes another nice reflection, too.

Wow Wow Wow - STunningly beautiful - would make a great greeting card or something. Thank you for including your set up. I sometimes get discouraged about my lack of equipment and I love simple and quick too so this is very encouraging for me. I may be trying this one soon.

The 3 distinct layers in this (reflection, water drops, and original) have me really captivated. I like the way the bubbles seam to float above the mirror(?).
