Taken on my lunch hour. This fellow is working in his office on the second story of an old adobe about half a block from where I work. I'm standing on a balcony looking across the courtyard. I confess that I cloned out the apple core he was holding in his hand.

spying on the neighbors!

That's too bad he was not holding a whole apple - that would have made for a cool selective desat. Love all the white space and the framing of the window. It's just awesome that the lighting on the man is subtle.

I just love this, the minimalism is tops. It reminds me of something you'd see in national geographic composition wise. Awesome! Fav.

This is terrific -- and the square crop nicely offsets the rectangular window. Good use of b&w. Has a dreamy quality.

Simple yet so effective! Makes me wonder what he is thinking about... like he's a recluse that cannot leave the house and yet yearns for the outside... glad there's no apple core :-)

I like the simple, bold geometric composition of the rectangle of the window placed off center in the white square of wall. I think the square crop works really well here. The duotone treatment and tones are lovely, too.

I love the soft look of this. Works well with the brightness of the building. This works great with the square crop too. I think I may have liked the apple core, but to each his (or her) own.

Excellent shot. Has a bit of a Hitchcock feel (thinking Rear Window).
