 Happy Fourth of July!

I haven't moved in yet, but I never go to the condo without taking a few boxes of stuff with me. This morning I packed up all my CDs and DVDs and grabbed a few other random boxes, and that was my load. The photo is of my hand truck (or dolly, whatever you call it wherever you happen to be), a well-used and abused piece of equipment that I used to haul the boxes up and down the stairs. I thought the worn "Made in the USA" flag sticker combined with the condo-related box moving was a pretty good summation of today.

Made in the USA?? They still make stuff here? Wow, wonders never cease. :) I know you'll be glad to get moved in. I hate moving, so I try not to do it unless absolutely necessary.

This caught my attention right of the bat because I wanted to see what it was (at first I thought maybe a bleacher), I love the worn out sticker, it shows you that it's probably hauled many o boxes.

Nice strong contrasts in the background. That could have been a picture in itself. Hope your moving goes along well.

In keeping with the photo-journalish nature of this project, you've done a great job capturing today: It's the Fourth of July, and you're moving. There's an irony to this picture that I can't quite express in words. But you've done a fabulous job expressing it in a photo. :)

Your shadows are super interesting in this pic... makes me wonder what is off the right side of the photo. A fitting image for the 4th of July :)
