I'd title this "Show the inner beauty".
It rained much of the day today. It has for weeks and I have these wonderful toadstools growing in my garden. So during a break I took some photos just in case. I was going to publish some fireworks photos but alas they didn't turn out so good.

Oh... editing steps. Sorry I have been ignoring that step.

my first reaction is that i'd like to eat this at dinner tonight :) but on second thoughts it's too beautiful to eat, i'd enjoy its sight a bit more before eating it.

I'm a sucker for detail and this has a lot. I think your composition is ok but it's pretty basic and doesn't give this subject a new perspective. As Don mention it does kinda look like a glamour shot where the point is to simply show the beauty and be done with it. Here I wish maybe you had gotten creative and gave us a different POV. Mind you I do a lot of square crops myself but I do them for the challenges to maximize the limits of 640x but here you've got more space to work with hence the suggestion. Just a thought.

WOW!!! Super focus and a beautiful contrast between the cream of the toadstool and the brown of the soil.

Really really strong on the toadstool cap's texture

Good job

It's a glamor shot of a mushroom. Kinda funny!

Reaction: wow, way cool. Such clear detail, but not too much of it, just enough to show this is a much more complex thing than it at first appears to be, and yet not distract. The light throughout is wonderful, and the composition works really well (I'm not a big fan of centered, but here it fits).

These have been popping up all around my apartment complex because of the rain, I love the detail of this!

At first when I looked at the thumbnail, my reaction was "Oh, it's a mushroom". But when I opened it, it's way more than a mushroom - it's a little world all unto itself. The peeling top looks like a cloudy sky, and the detail on the side like rain falling. Amazing clarity and exceptional light.

Great detail. I really like the bit of ground anchoring it in the lower left.

Nice shot, I have many of these as well, it has rained here for weeks also and is now as I type. It never rains here on the 4th but it is this year!!
