So sorry to inflict another fireworks shot on everyone.

Today we went to a swim party/potluck/prayer meeting at the home of some friends. I took pictures during the swimming portion of the festivities, but along with our Shirts Cover Tummies rule, we have a no-posting-pictures-of-our-kids-in-swimsuits-on-the-Internet rule, so you won't be seeing any of those. The fireworks display was pretty much an afterthought -- my son and husband were too tired out from all the swimming, eating, and praying we'd already done, so it was just my daughter and me, driving out just before they started and finding a place to park and a vantage point that might be decent. The vantage point turned out to not be quite as decent as I thought, since a telephone pole that I had thought would be well out of my shots ended up being very near the middle of most of them. But we had a good time watching the fireworks, anyway.

another shot I found interesting:

Not just another fireworks shot. This is so different from the ones I usually see. The composition is really nice.

I really like the shape of this, it's really cool that it goes straight up & looks different than the average fireworks shot, I think it's great!

Really nice colors. Like this one better than the other one. I guess because this one has an ending, which helps when shooting fireworks.

I'm with Roz. There's nothing to apologize for. I also thought tis was a floral shot from the thumb. It's such a departure from the standard star-burst you get in most fireworks photos.

Besides, it's Independence Day. If you can shoot them, you got to show them.

Wow! This looks like a fugitive from the 30-day floral challenge. ;) Nice work.
