Today I have been out climbing trees...well actually I havent but I did take a photograph of a fallen tree that I saw in the park and tinkered around with it to try and fool you

I appreciate that there is a lot wrong with the technicals on this image but to be honest it has been a very hectic day and it was a rush job, but I didnt wnat to quit already, because I really like the way the last few days have worked out

Cool angle for a rush job, maybe you could retake it later and get it just how you want it.

Pleasantly different from the usual tree shot, very interesting colors!

First -- anyone who's done one of these side challenges knows ALL about the "oh, shoot, if I don't do one today I'll never do one again" kind of shots. So don't worry on that account.

Second -- this isn't so bad. The shapes and lines are interesting -- busy and hectic. You almost get a sense of being held by the tree. Nice job. :)

Bizarre colors. Kinda like being lost in a nightmare, or something. Hey! Wait a minute. . . .that gives me a challenge idea. :)

This is a very cool shot, Jon. When you have some time, do a little processing on it to bring out all the beautiful colors and textures. Love the lines of this tree!

Yay for you for hanging in there - this shows us an interesting facet of you and your life, just as the less-rushed photos do.

First of all, I love that it does in fact look like you climbed up "there" to get this image. And I like the processing, as it gives it a bit of heightened sensation (for me at least) with the angle.

And secondly, I am VERY glad you haven't quit. I really enjoy the things you say.

What are the little red things? You did a good job with the perspective. It does look like you climbed up and pointed the camera down.

Good job for keeping up with it. I have struggled a bit as well, but our determination will see us through.

The textures in the tree are good, as is the angle. Perhaps you will shoot this again when you are in a better frame of mind.

Two challenges a week is sometimes very difficult. A photo a day is even harder. For the rest, I agree with your own remarks about ths photo. Good job you didn't quit.
