Some days are like that. Emotionally, this was probably one of the roughest of my life. I have been telling my husband for over 10 years that a particular member of his family felt a certain way about me (not favorable, at all). He tried to soothe me and tell me I was just misinterpreting.
Yea, well, today, it all exploded, and yep, I was more than right.
The next day, I was mostly over the emotional break down part, but it breaks my heart for my husband -- he has been hurt much worse than I have, I think.
:(
Somedays are just like that.
Anyway, that is my excuse for all of my fireworks shots being blurry. ALL of them. Not a focused one in the bunch. So, an extreme USM and sharpening, and this is the result.
I'll just pretend it is deliberate. :) |

Yikes!! I am sorry to hear that you had a bad holiday :( I wish I lived closer... that story makes me want to go out and pound someone for you. You are entitled to blurry fireworks pictures gosh darn it!! I am sorry that they will be a constant reminder of how you were feeling on that day though... if you need anything, you let me know. Even if you just need to chat on the phone and let it all out!! :) I have a great ear :) We all love you!! So, at least you have that to think about :) |

This picture sure fits your story. What I really like is that it is not a perfect burst and probably fits how you feel. |

You are entitled to extremes today.
It feels somewhat inappropriate to talk about a photo having read your story, so I will content myself by wishing both you and your husband strength and peace to get through what has obviously been (no matter how much you suspected it before) a shocking and painful day
Take care and my thoughts are with you |

Well this is quite a symbolic interpretation of your day and the event in your life. Sorry to hear that something happened to ruin the occasion. But you know, after the explosion comes the bright burst of colors that we all enjoy. Hope you get some quality time today with those who bring you peace and happiness. |

I'm sorry you had such a rough day, I know it's even harder to see those you love hurting too. Even if it wasn't deliberate :) I like the bluriness of this, it makes it really stand out! |

I can empathisize. Families are rough, then throwing in someone else's is harder. And why is it men never believe a woman's intuition? I'm very sorry for your holiday turnout. But sometimes, it's a good turn of events to move forward now that it's all out there. Good luck.... |

Actually, having the fireworks a bit OOF then sharpened gives the shot a unique look that is very cool! |

aw, karmat. I don't know you, but I wish I could hug you. I hate crap like that when it happens in families because you can't just walk away from it and live and let live like you can with other people -- these are people you have to deal with (or deal with the consequences of NOT dealing with) for the rest of your life. Or theirs. Here's hoping things settle out soon.
Love the way you used photography and processing to express your thoughts about the day, though. How fitting. (most of my fireworks shots were OOF as well.) |
