Not bad, but too much light at the lower right side of the nut.

Excellent lighting. I would just rethink the composition, perhaps leaving more black space on top so as to "push" the nut and lighting into prominence through contrast.

Im not going to mark it down but I dont think a nut counts as a fruit or a vegetable does it? Anyway - nice interesting light and shadow. Very conventional framing. 7 - floyd

the sharpening gives this a surreal effect.

This is a great shot, but from what i can find out, isn't this a seed rather than a fruit or veggie? On a positive note, your picture made me investigate something I would have never looked at! karmat

Was a seven, then I realized a nut is not a fruit/veggie became a 6. Then I realized this is not a nut, became a 5. I like the lighting, even the bright spot. I think it would work better as a horizontal so you don't have to drop out the shadow play. 5, just-married

is that a fruit or a vegetable?

Ooooh nice, move him over to the left a little, he is sooo close to center that he migt a s well be. looks croweded on the right. forget te nut, the ligt and shadows on the spot on the rug are delightful. Maybe i's like it better with a real nut, this one is a carving, right? oh never mind I like the carving alright. Light is terific over all face to background is slick, colors are jsut right,

Lighting, color, tones are all great. Is that a real nut or a sculpture of some kind? Good photo.

The lighting doesn't really work - especially the white patches.

Is this a casting of a walnut? slightly off center, very bright spot not good to me. I get the impression of biggness, is this object alot bigger than a walnut? 7 Swash
